Wood Sealant

Description
ProSeal has been developed to extend the life of all your wood based products. ProSeal is a water-based, non toxic, non-flammable product that contains no VOC’s and is totally safe to use. ProSeal when applied to permeable wood will produce just below the surface of the wood, a layer of silicate impregnated cells, which can breath but will not allow the transmission of moisture, from above or below.
How does ProSeal work?
ProSeal contains a proprietary catalyst, allowing it to penetrate through the walls of the individual wood cells. When ProSeal is applied to the surface of permeable wood, it immediately starts to react with the tannic acids within the cells, forming an aero-silicate gel membrane on the inside wall surface of each wood cell. Over the following 3 to 7 days, this gel membrane hydrates into internal, solid, silicate barrier. ProSeal can be applied to any permeable wood surface. Generally, it will not permanently alter the color or texture of the wood, but as it cures it will push the resins and Britannic acids in the cells to the surface. This process does temporarily intensify the color and grain of the wood. If you wish to maintain this intensified color, clean the wood surface as required and apply a UVA and UVB reflective clear coat. If the wood treated is to be painted, remove the resins and tannic acids from the surface of the wood as required by the manufacturer of the paint to be used. Once the wood has dried, follow the paint application instructions.

Concrete Sealant

Description
ProSeal forms a permanent internal membrane starting from 1/2mm below the surface and a single application can penetrate up to 15mm and more into concrete and masonry. ProSeal contains a proprietary catalyst which creates the following sequences of events:
Penetrates below the surface of concrete or alkali bearing substrates where it “pursues moisture” deep into concrete and masonry.
Upon contact with the “free” alkali (lime) and calcium hydroxides (in that moisture) ProSeal reacts to form a silica gel membrane on the surface of all voids and particulate, (sand, aggregate and cement) and instantly waterproofs the substrate.
Over 3 to7 days this silica gel membrane hydrates and hardens into a solid, yet breathing, internal, glass membrane thus providing a permanent seal and moisture barrier, as well as increased surface hardness/dusting resistance and compressive and flexural strengths.
